I was recently asked by Marks and Spencer to help launch their Autumn range in store. I was on hand over two days to show shoppers how to make the new range work for them. This is an exciting season for the British brand and of course, I was very excited to be the Marks and Spencer Personal Shopper again.
After arriving in store I decided on the trends that I wanted to share and talk about which were folk, 60’s, fur and as it’s the Autumn I also wanted to talk about buying the right winter coat.
After selecting my looks I decided on the layout of the stage and had everything in place, including accessories.
We had such a fantastic turnout on the first day that we didn’t have enough room for everyone to sit in our fashion area. Day one was so full that people were standing in the aisles listening to my 25 minute presentation.
It’s such a great feeling when people come up afterwards and tell you that they’ve bought everything you’ve just talked about. One lady came up to me and told me that she’s spent two hours in the store before my presentation and couldn’t find anything. After my presentation she had bags full of clothes. That’s exactly what I love to see at the end of these style days!
The second day proved to be just as busy, even until the very last style presentation.
It’s amazing how much people enjoy seeing clothes put together and see how different pieces can all be mixed and matched to create different outfits. I love being able to help lots of people at once and during these 16 style presentations we had over 100 people at each one which was fantastic.
